I grew up on the soccer and lacrosse fields of Park City. Those teams were my people and the game was home.

Then my knees started giving out. A few tears and six knee surgeries later, I've learned more about resilience than any season could teach me. Every surgery meant starting over: crutches, physical therapy, and the slow work of rebuilding strength I'd already earned once. Watching from the sidelines, I started paying attention to how bodies heal and how much of a comeback happens off the field.

Growing up in Park City, I've been surrounded by Olympians my whole life. They're my classmates at the Winter Sports School, the athletes training on the hill next to me, the faces in town at the coffee shop. I've watched up close what it takes to perform at that level: the early mornings, the recovery days, and the way they fuel their bodies with real intention. Here, excellence is just how people live. Optimizing the human body is part of our culture.

At school, my friend Amelie Vallieres and I kept running into the same problem. The supplements that worked tasted terrible, and the ones that tasted good did nothing.
